Whispers of Mystery

Malorie Jones was always a little strange for her age but today was a little different...

On Friday, October 27th, 2023 Malorie was walking to school with her friend Kayla Marie. "Malorie, am I able to call you Mal?" Kayla asked waiting for her to respond, as she is forgetting that Malorie is mute.

Malorie starts texting her. "Kay I have told you that I am saving that nickname for my future boyfriend or girlfriend."

Kayla looks at the text then says, "Malorie you aren't homosexual, you've told me you aren't so why are you saying boyfriend or girlfriend?"

"I could turn homosexual in the future."

"Malorie, how would you magically turn homo-"

Malorie put her hand over Kayla's mouth. She points over to the tree line."Malorie what are you looking at?"

Malorie quickly texts her saying "Kay I saw something over there, it was running about, I want to go check it out."

"Malorie I'm not being late because you want to go check out the trees, I know you like nature so lets go."

Malorie turns to Kayla and starts typing, "Kay I'm going to check it out with or without you."

Kayla looks right at her and then turns to head to school.

She hurries and types, "Kay keep your phone powered on just in case."

"Okay Malorie."

As Kayla started heading for the school, Malorie turned to the tree line finally taking in the eeriness of the woods. She took one deep breath then started walking over there. After a few steps she looked upwards at the large trees towering over her. She took another deep breath then started her journey into the woods. She walked keeping a steady pace. As she was walking there would be loud rumbling noises. She quickly stopped and stayed in place when she heard a low growl. After a few seconds she started walking again. After a few more feet she came to a clearing.
