WELL HOW COME YOU'RE ALWAYS TOXIC WITH ME?!
OHOHOHOHOHO I’M TOXIC?! HOW ABO-
-AND LET'S TALK ABOUT THE TIME YOU CHEATED WITH THAT DY-
*releases the deepest sigh you have ever heard*
right on cue
this happens every few months
and it seems something out of a tv show
two people have a fight that lasts at least two episodes and then they miraculously never fight again
but in this case it gets louder and extremer after the last time at first the bubble is small
but as time races on getting bigger and bigger
one day it goes POP!
and all hell breaks loose what do you mean last time? how many ‘last times’ have there been? which last time is it?
i don’t know or care
for every time it happens
the little eight year old girl cries with no one to console her
the young boy with mental health issues isolates himself in the closet
while the adults scream their heads off laughing and screaming at each other thinking he or she is succeeding in the argument
when in reality they are not
and then there’s him
the guy who wrote this poem
his heart pounding
his open face hands with their pinkies side by side praying to God that this all ends soon
who tucks the photobooth picture of he and his lover in his sweatpants
she kissing his left cheek
he with his arm around her waist
both with their happy smiles back when things were great
how he would love to sneak out with her tonight
but to do so with his precious home practically on fire?
unfortunately goddamn impossible
even though he can’t do anything but breathe in and breathe out hoping for the best
for there are no winners or losers in this game
only victims
