What does writer's block feel like?

It's tremendous. It's when you're standing in front of a mountain that, to you, is monstrous. Every attempt you make to climb it ends with you tumbling to the ground like Sisyphus and his boulder. You cannot move it, or scale it, it is a herculean task to try and overcome, and you are no Heracles. At the same time, as you struggle to surmount this obstacle, you watch other people pass you by, walking right through the mountain as if it didn't exist. You just have to keep fighting, pushing, prodding, until it's intangible to you as well.
