“BEEB BEEB BEEB”Luca´s alarm clock went off at nine in the morning. “ i am up I am up jeez!” He went over to shut off his alarm but he tripped on his legos “OW!” he reached for his foot but then fell on his butt. He got up and limped over to shut the alarm clock off “finally” he said exhausted. He limped over to his dresser and pulled out his clothes for the day. Once his clothes were on he looked out his window and saw frost on the ground with foot prints in it. He followed the foot prints until he saw a man walking to his car. But his keys in his back pocket were falling out and looked like they were going to trigger the car alarm. He thought nothing of it and decided to go put on a sweatshirt. While he was grabbing his sweatshirt from the hook on the wall the car alarm beeped outside. There was a lot of angry yelling and people slamming their doors. He wondered if his parents were out yelling because they just woke up although they weren't that social. The car alarm stopped while he was struggling to put his red sox sweatshirt on. When he went over to the door he stuck his left hand in his pocket. But before he opened the door he felt something. He pulled out a piece of paper and remembered that his friend Tony gave it to him. He unfolded it and started to read out loud. “Dear Luca, I know you love crazy unbelievable things. Well I got something really big. Go to the old blue door next to the dump at 9:30 am on saturday. From Tony” he shoved the paper in his pocket and realized that it was saturday and it was 9:05 “oh no I am never late, the dump is ten minutes and I haven't even had breakfast yet!” He opened the door and ran down the stairs into the kitchen and looked for his mom and his dad. He saw his dad reading the newspaper on a couch in the living room. He started reading a paragraph on the front page and it said. “Break in at the barts bakery shop. Only the food was stolen no money. The security cameras show a hooded figure but he was small like a kid” someone touched him on the shoulder and he jumped “ how was your morning honey?” Luca turned around and saw his mom and immediately looked away from the newspaper. “What are you reading?” He looked at her and realized she just woke up because her hair was fuzzy and she had her bathrobe on with a cup of coffee in her hand “Oh nothing just a break in” his mom looked at Lucas' dad and said “good morning David” his dad looked up from the newspaper “good morning honey” she said. “It's your turn to make breakfast” he set the newspaper down and said “fine.” he walked past Luca and into the kitchen “Luca what do you want for breakfast.” Luca wanted breakfast but he did not want to be late. He also needed to read the rest of the newspaper “Luca?” his dad was getting louder but he did not know what to say. He started forward to grab the newspaper but then his dad yelled “LUCA!” He jumped. He was surprised his dad just yelled so loud over breakfast. Although breakfast was something to die for. “I don't want anything thank you.” his dad was confused “bud you are the most hungry person in the world and you just dined breakfast?” Luca gave him his serious look and his dad said “and that is great for me” his mom was refilling her coffee cup and said “you still have to make breakfast for him tomorrow” his dad sat down with a grunt and said “almost got off the hook” he was reaching for the newspaper when Luca said “can i use the newspaper for a school project?” his dad looked up “Ya sure” Luca ran over to the coffee table and snatched it up. He twisted the door knob but right as he was opening the door his mom stepped in front of him and said “and you're going where?” he looked at her and said “i am going to meet with my study buddy” his mom crossed her arms and said, “We have church in one hour” he opened his mouth but his mom said “this one time ok I have never seen you study so hard this one time” he hugged her and said “thank you” she moved out of the way and he opened the door and realized he actually did need to study for english if he failed this class he would fail english. But he knew that Tony needs company so he started to walk to the dump.
When he got to the door he didn't see Tony but all of a sudden he jumped out behind the door immediately he said “i thought you were not going to come.” Luca pulled out his phone and looked at the time it said 9:23. When he looked up Tony was already at the door waving him over. Luca ran over and said “I am never late you know me.” Tony looked at the door and said “well sometimes you're early” Luca looked at him and Tony kept on investigating the door. He said “ok so you're expecting me to wait behind a trash can and look at my phone and exactly when it is 9:30 i am supposed to pop out and give you a surprise party?” Tony finally looked at Luca and said “not exactly but the surprise party would do.” Luca started to giggle but then said “This better be worth it because i had to miss breakfast for this and also i have to get back to study for english so lets make this quick.” he walked over to Tony and said “so what are we working with here?” Tony looked back at the door and said “well I have not opened it yet but I hear noises coming from it and there is nothing behind it so I mean if there is something in it it is actually in it.”Luca put his ear up to it and heard crackling and popping. He jumped back when he heard it and then said “it's like it is a portal to something but the door is the portal.” he looked at it in confusion “so you have not opened it yet?” Tony looked at him with a stern look and said “this is really risky i mean we have dealt with some wacky stuff but i mean this is a bit sketchy.” Luca looked at Tony and said “first of all we can handle it you know what we have done. And second of all, who told you the word sketch you overuse it a lot.” Tony Looked at him a bit mad “first of all i do not overuse it and second of all maybe we should report thisto the police.” “that wouldn't be the best idea because you are not on their best side right now.” Tony looked confused until he saw Luca pull out the newspaper. “Dude i need food okay we don't have to report this to the police you can open it if you want but it is sketchy” “again overusing it. Twice i have been here five minutes” “just go if you die it will be better than you reminding me how annoying you are” Luca looked at the door and as he walked up to it he said “love you too bud.” he grabbed the door knob and it was freezing cold he started twisting but it got as hot as lava “AHH!” he screamed and Tony jumped up and grabbed him “what happened” he said “it is so ho…” he looked at his hand completely fine, no scar tissue, no burns, nothing. “What the how? it burned” he got up and tried to balance but he fell over he said “ok I got this” and with that he got up ran to the door and twisted the door knob. The door swung open, almost hitting him but he didnt even pull. There was a purple and blue portal inside sucking him and Tony in. He felt himself starting to slip on the ground so he lay down and shoved his hands and his feet in the dirt. Then all of a sudden his feet got taken off the ground and one of his hands slipped. Now he was holding on by one hand but the portal was too strong. The dirt started to get sucked in when he saw it. A garbage can coming at him about 10 miles per hour. He had to dodge it so he jumped out of the way. The garbage can passed him and went into the portal and disappeared. In mid air Luca started to slow down then he started to go backwards. Luca was sucked in. Meanwhile Tony was behind an excavator hiding but when he saw the trash can coming for Luca he ran out from behind it and jumped. He missed the garbage can but saw Luca dodged it. He was relieved until he saw Luca starting to go backwards. He was in mid air reaching for Luca when Luca grabbed the closest thing. The door knob. Tony got sucked in but Luca closed the door right as Tony was in front of it. Tony broke through the door and hit the big recycle bucket on the other side with a “BANG” and he passed out.
“AHH” Luca screamed. He was getting thrashed around over and over again. He was spread like an eagle to slow himself down. He learned it on the discovery channel but it was not working. He was getting sucked down so hard that gravity had nothing on this. He kept on falling until he finally saw the ground. But not in the way he liked. He was plummeting down towards the ground at top speed but had no parachute. He thought he was going to die so he closed his eyes and felt tree branches and leaves hitting him. Then he felt himself stop falling. When he opened his eyes he found himself standing up with no scratches or bruises whatsoever. When he looked around he saw a beautiful waterfall. There was a deer drinking from the water and right next to it was a bear minding its business, drinking water almost touching the deer. The deer was not worried at all. He looked around him. Everything was different, no humans, no buildings, no english test, no Tony overusing sketchy and no breakfast which is kinda bad because he is hungry. He was in a whole new world.
