My perspective: As I headed outside the first thing I heard was the wind blowing in the leaves of the old red maple beside my house. I heard the raspberry leaves whispering a song who's melody cannot be determined. I heard a car racing up the road of the hill I lived on. I saw the bright, overcast sky. None of these where animal sounds, so I listened for longer. I heard the voices of a loud conversation across the street. "I'm not looking for humans," I thought. Then I heard it; the whistle of a chickadee, then a few seconds after, a caw of a crow. So I began typing, as the chirping continued.
Daily Challenges: A new idea to explore and create each day. Use sound and photos, too!
Go outside. What is the first animal you hear? The call of a bird? The bark of a dog? (Humans are animals, too.) Write from the perspective of that animal. What is (are) the animal(s) talking about? (If you have a smartphone or can borrow one, record the sounds and upload to your post.) [Photo Credit: Anna Mechler]
