*Untitled For Now*

Life: A perpetual maze inhabited by the human race.

Directions are personalized depending on who holds the map.
Only later does the realization come forth,
there is no proper map.
Life the maze, mutates with a rigorous passion,
giving us chances to make mistakes or to fly overhead on wings of pride.
Words such as “right” and “wrong” are nonsensical.
How can their definitions hold true,
when unique circumstances are presented on a daily basis?
Yet that does not mean there is no such thing as a bad decision.
*********
Unable to escape wrong doings,
they are branded upon our skin
for all to see.
Pray that time, the ever scrubbing sponge
takes pity on your body of harrowed stigma.
May it work without vacation to remove
traces of scars distasteful to the eye.
*******
Pain differs not only by situation
but by participants.
*******
Enclosed by a dead end a knife poised upon my back,
blade held steady, gripped by confident, egotistical fingers. I radiate fear.
Leaves that shape this darn maze shake with anticipation and grow with curiosity.
I must face the fool who dares treat me this way.
When I finally do I can scarcely breathe.
The fool mirrors a face associated with amusing childhood memories.
The one to whom I bestowed a key of honour,
that unlocks an entire safety deposit box
ever growing with secrets better left forgotten.
Never did I expect her,
to be the one,
who released them.
My look of shock must be satisfactory for she merely tortures me.
Watching gleefully as my life falls apart.
Sadly I am unable to divide our paths, a bond created by years of pinkie promises
and shared smiles overshadow her faults…
for now.
*********
Eyes burning with blatant hate she scrutinizes my very essence
plotting her next move to outclass me.
Friendship should not be a popularity contest,
Why doesn’t she understand that?
I try to vindicate her many crimes against my heart
however the feeling of betrayal weighs heavily on every bone in my body.
The ground is now of constant interest
and my hair is destroyed by hands quivering with concern,
trying their best to massage a brain too confused for comprehension.
Her malicious acts have allowed betrayal to contaminate my very being,
It refuses to leave the premises.
With every excuse I fish for,
I catch an extended amount that justify feelings of anger.
Forgive and forget is gruelling work.
Does she deserve my forgiveness,
although her transgressions remain unconfronted?
*******
A complete lack of emotional regard
is thickly coated upon her mysterious, narcotic lips.
Silence communicates stronger than words penetrate… sometimes.
I wish she would stop provoking me,
then maybe I could continue pretending that everything is fine.
******
Artificial at best is the overexuberent, wide eyed smile
physically forced onto her lips by hands belonging to a fake persona
when the eyes of the public are watching.
Only in solitude, behind locked doors and shuttered windows
does the painstaking truth reveal itself.
Out of her facade she steps.
Halloween is over, off come the flawless glorified wings,
her halo of altruistic nature and white cloak, clean without fault.
Demon horns sharp as a sword protrude from her head where
unimaginable thoughts run round in circles.
An inhuman source pumps blood throughout her veins,
poisoning the last scraps of microscopic innocence hiding deep within her.
For there is no way a heart is present in that terrible excuse of a human being.
Nails filed to needle point, prepared to rip apart anything that might get in her way.
She constantly flicks her reptilian tongue,
anticipating the blood yet to be shed.
I’m terrified to say my happiness seems like her next target.
Wouldn’t it be easier just to send an arrow through my heart?
However she does not want me dead.
No, she wants me to live to see the day when her rump sits on a cushioned throne
and a crown of power rests upon her scaly head.
I will be made a servant, forced to do all the dirty work.
She will not rest until the day I bow before her in a sniveling pile of tears.
Till then I scream pathetically at the maze, for a way out.
*******
This isn’t just a childish dispute,
this is a waging war with friendship on the line.
However I don’t wish to fight,
but to join forces once again
fixing our relationship before it’s too late.
However can a treaty be created by two opposing forces,
if one is fighting for the satisfaction of inflicting pain,
channelled on nothing but raging jealousy and
an emotion left unknown to the peace fighter?
****
I don’t care,
I won’t care,
I shouldn’t care,
but I do care…
****
I’ve reached a decision,
I must destroy our bond.
I just can’t do this anymore.
The pain has become unbelievably unbearable.
Since the maze refuses to heed my plea,
I have no choice but to play the executioner
With our bond on the chopping block.
***
The time has come to set myself free,
from the chains she has encircled around her and me.
I raise the axe and prepare to strike,
to demolish our bond dipped in strife.
Hands quivering with replenished fear
I sense her presence drawing near.

(This is a poem I'm going to submit to a writing contest and I still need to figure out an ending however in the mean time I was hoping you guys could give me some honest feedback on this peice. I hope you enjoy.)

    Tree limbs dance in
    the breeze of baited breath,
roots threaten to break ground zero.
    time;
    too much
    too little
    only the trees understand

    Sentenced

    I am guilty

    The bars which restrain me
    are but my own fault

    I am guilty

    The lifeless walls
    frozen, unfeeling
yield no give as I fight to break free

    My crimes:
    To want,
    the stars

    Only A Memory

    The wind
brushes my cheek, with a kiss.
    Neck craned, my eyes
    skim the sky in bliss

    The scene before me,
    a canvas to interpret,
I stare, deep within the soul of each star
this game I refuse to forfeit.
