Writing Challenges: Inspiration and ideas to spark your creativity every day

Keaton Jones of Knoxville, Tenn., asked his mom to record a video of him talking about being bullied -- again -- at school. According to the New York Times ("A Nation Answers a Sobbing Boy’s Plea: ‘Why Do They Bully?’" Dec. 11, 2017) his mom posted it on Facebook on Friday with a plea to parents to talk to their children about bullying -- and the response was overwhelmingly empathetic. Read the story and see the video. Consider Keaton's words:
“Why do they bully? What’s the point of it? Why do you find joy in taking innocent people and finding a way to be mean to them? People that are different don’t need to be criticized about it. It’s not their fault.”
Write an open letter to Keaton to offer support, maybe a story of your own -- and YWP will forward them to him.
