Lady Jane Grey

If Sebastian Azvamath was in a TV show or movie, he would be the beloved main character, Jane was sure of that. His boyfriend, Cyrus, would be the love interest, and Sebastian's siblings, Haru and Lavinnia, would be the fan-favorite side characters. Jane would most likely be a character who would show up every three episodes or so, and would have a very small number of fans.

Her sister, Alexis, had once joked that Jane's only purpose was to be Victoire's twin, which Jane personally thought she was doing a pretty good job of, considering that they were twins.

One time, Mila, a close friend of Sebastian, asked her if she minded not being as famous as Sebastian, Cyrus, and the other Azvamtaths were. Truthfully, Jane didn't mind. She was still popular, and many mortals would travel to come to see "The Good Witch," as they called her. Plenty of people wanted to see her, even if it was just to ask her to customize something like a good luck charm for them, it happened not to be as many as Sebastian, and she truthfully didn't care.

Hell, Jane had the title, Lady Jane Grey in the Fourth Universe, and was considered minor nobility there, just as she was considered a minor celebrity in the Mortal Realms.

Truthfully, Jane often felt a strong connection to her namesake, Lady Jane Grey, the queen of England who ruled for nine days, because of this. Overlooked, but never wanted popularity in the first place. Maybe her mother, who was also a powerful witch, predicted she would be like this, or her mother just took advantage of their surname being Grey.

In Jane's opinion, popularity was overrated.

Was she jealous of her sister, Victoire, who got the title of Countess? Maybe, but Jane never wanted all the responsibilities that came with being nobility.  hell, the only reason she was called a Lady was that one of her sisters was a Countess of the Fourth Universe, and the other was the Queen of Magicis.

Being the sidekick gave her more free time, anyway. And, another plus, she didn't have to deal with fucking paparazzi.

  • Rubble

The school's rubble lay in front of us. We were close enough to climb around it if it weren't for that damn fence that prevented us. It was one of those wire fences that would surround a school's playfield, and it was covered by a tarp.
