The Things That Children Lie About
You didn't grow up together
but she was always there
She was your best friend

Lies

not once,
not twice,
not three times,

I grab my papers,
It's five flat.
I mean five pages. -

One with a seahorse.
One with a frayed purple ribbon.
One with a diamond on the end.
