I'm used to
making friends
somewhat effortlessly 
so now I'm
a little confused

I guess you guys
are a tight knit group
but maybe you could
make room for me

I'm a new girl
but I'm friendly enough

I feel like a broken record
spinning and scratching
repeating the same things
over and over

Maybe I've
run out of
things to say

losing my touch

I have to force 
the words to come

i like the rain
the clouds
the dark

the sun is too bright
too hot

sometimes it's just too much

i like the feeling
of tears
running down my face

The world is a scary place

Around every corner
lurks a scary face

It's hard to not be afraid
of a world
that could turn
against you

And I'm scared

I admitted it

Don't want to show it

Have we been apart
for too long?

Have we been
torn apart by the distance
and the time?

How far is too far?

How long is too long?

If we must stay apart
for twenty years
