Gray sky full of clouds
Overcast and full of gloom
Until light breaks through

There is beauty in the silence
but now the silence overwhelms
hurting my head with its emptiness

It feels like I'm living
in the vacuum of space
total isolation
and silence all around

I'm trapped in this void

I miss the drive to school
a peaceful time
where my mom and I
could talk freely
without siblings 
interrupting

I miss the time
before school began
when everyone
was just hanging out
