We all fall.
Sometimes fast, sometimes blind-
The wind roaring past pieces of our mind.
The world tilts, and gravity wins,
But the story doesn't end where it begins.

Grow up, not grow old
They say I'm too young to know what love is,
Too quick to believe in forever and kisses.
They roll their eyes when I speak from my chest,
As if my heart's too small to feel this mess.

More Than Bread
We gather wood and light the flame, build walls to guard against the rain. We chase the sun for food and gold, and count the coins our pockets hold.
We drink from wells, we mend our roofs,

Painted a lifeless white,
I swore they were purple.
I try to grasp onto any memory
That I could think of.
