mom's pumpkins orange
first fall leaf yellow
sunflower stalk green 
crisp fall sky blue
cowardly octopus purple 
my room at 2 am black
toasted almond brown
first star white

I'm good at lying
but I'm not proud of it
I'm not proud of having to hide who I am from everybody 
and for everybody I have to be a different person 
I'm not proud of pretending, 

friendship is like a fairy 

darting to and fro

just out of reach 

taunting us with it's closeness

friendship is like your mother's china bowl

it's delicate 

and so easily shattered
