Rain -a confused metaphor
rain is a poet's muse
not any rain but
a cold rain that drips over the stars
a rain that threatens to push away reality for just one second
and show you another world.
a secret rain for someone to hide in their pocket -
Crimes of the lonely
She once stepped too close to the sun
Now she breathes fire into the ocean
And the tempest dances
She once danced in the stars
But her feet became cut
And bled from her prances.
She once enhaled the rain -
Moonlight
The world is massive
It feels so hard to be heard
When I feel so small -
Thunderstorm
A night
Struck from the sky
By a torrent of thunder
Cold light invading your house
As it crashes through your trembling windows
And illunminates your fearful figure for seconds
Before darkness reigns again. -
Dreams
I hold onto my dreams
Like they'll melt into frozen snow
Because my hands are the only things keeping them from you.
You think there pointless
That I should hide myself
In the deepest of forests
And the darkest of oceans. -
Poets
Inspired by the Moonlight Sonata
Imagine a future
Full of bright blinking eyes
Gazing at a new unforgiving world
Broken hearts are
Left to melt on the concrete
Dreams flying like doves from the windows.
