Stupid green paper
Is ruining our lives
People will do anything for it
Has no literal value 
Just a symbol for value
When you see someone
You should see more than stupid green money
That for some reason seems to

When I heard 
I was in a pottery class
with most people I did not know
Our teacher told us
We all jumped in excitment 
Then stopped because we did not know where everyone else stood.
But we then knew we stood togther

There are mornings for mourning 
but today is not one of them 
because now I have hope
because the time for mourning is over

All those mispoken words I have said

All these torn out notebook pages never to be read

All those lightbulb of ideas 

Swirling inside my head

All the fairy lights 

The fall leaves

The rain 

When the world is looking down

All I seem to do is look up

When every shred of hope is gone I find a way

Until I realize when things are looking up it brings tears to my eyes

Wake up to snow
on this beautiful Vermont land
The wind will blow 
trust me I know
In the air is a story
A memory
of winters 
past much like the last
But safe inside is where I stay
