Sometimes I wonder 

Why does my dog not speak?

He feels pain, joy, hurt, sadness.

His paws are not paws, but human hands and feet

Every Monday,

After school,

Papa brings all of us;

Hazel

Lila

Rowan

Baby Arlo (who’s actually three by now)

And me

GEORGIA

I hang

Upside down off the bench

My curls

Rain onto the grass

In a beautiful waterfall

My legs go numb
