When I leave, forget me please
I’d much rather be forgotten 
than have my name said with a frown
Put a few flowers by my grave and walk away please

Today is okay
Everything is fine
I am good
All words that normally tear me apart
But I’ve stitched myself up somehow
And now I can say each word without wanting to cry
Say each word and have it almost be true

Plastic kings and queens
March these hallways
Their Hollow somaches 
Slowly drowning them
Glitter and shine covering everything they touch
Their faces melting in the heat
Dripping into masks they claw from their faces

I have to cover my mirror with a scarf every night. Or I'm sure that the demons inside will escape and kill me in my sleep.

i know they don't exist.
but I still do it every time.

 

At 4am
the world feels soft
and gentle
ready to be molded
into anything you can dream
Then at six
the cars start to pass 
breaking your silence
a painful reminder
that the world
just keeps going

I am a virgin mary
starved for touch
Your eye contact is gloriously overwhelming
my only feeling
is the sun rising each morning
to greet me
and only me
