Books. They're doorways to infinite universes, each door holding a world unlike any other. If one world isn't to your liking, you can just open another door. There's a book for everyone, but if, in the near-impossible scenario that there isn't one for you, you're in luck. You can be part of the community who build these doorways. Forge these pathways. Because no one, and I mean no one, deserves to be left without a book. My advice for you is this: I started with reading a graphic novel version of a book series. Then I started reading the chapter-book novel. Then, I ended up reading 20 books that summer. The point is, you just need one book to get you to worlds like any other. Trust me. One book took me on a journey I'll never forget.

Summer Lemonade
It's 9 o'clock on a Saturday- 9:00 AM, that is, when Mom made lemonade for the annual summer party at our house. Fresh-squeezed lemonade. It is sitting in a cooler on the small table in the tiny house in our backyard.

Night Road Trip
It's quiet. Just the rumbling of the car. My friend is asleep next to me, their head on my shoulder. I open the windows. The breeze is nice and cool and rustles my hair. As soon as the window is open, it reveals the sound of crickets.

Getting lost in a book has to be one of life's greatest gifts! You describe it so well here. I have to ask ... what was that one unforgettable book?
Thanks! It started with the Wings of Fire series by Tui T Sutherland. Then, once I finished the series, I moved onto the Spy School series by Stuart Gibbs.
Ben Ripley! Great character! Thanks for sharing your recommendations!
