Tiny Writes
Hey all,
I’m in a creative writing class right now and am struggling heavily with it. My teacher hasn’t been giving great constructive criticism, rather she’s giving me just criticism on my ideas and how I go about the prompts/tools of writing we’re using. Perhaps I am being overly sensitive about it, but it’s bringing my motivation to write down.
Do you have any tips on how to keep your motivation up?

That can be so hard, when nobody is giving you constructive feedback so you know how to improve! Something that helps me is to get peer-reviews. Find someone your own age who also likes to write (could be someone in your class or outside it), and ask them to review your writing; be sure to tell them to give both positive feedback, and constructive criticism. If you don't agree with what they say, find a different person.
I hope this helps!
That does help a little, thank you! I’m lucky enough to have someone my age in this course who will tell me if something is written well and what needs to be worked on.
