I write to shut out the world.

I want to get lost in my own worlds 

Not thinking about life and what’s happening in the world right now.

I write to escape to a whole new world where I have control of everything.

We as Americans are very self centered.

We think that the world revolves around ourselves and not anyone else.

We lack in awareness that allows us to be able to say “oh that has nothing to do with me and that’s okay.” 

Why isn’t there a day people know about to recognize people who are deaf and hard of hearing? 

Why can’t there be one?

It is a day but…

I myself had you look it up to know about it.

And I am hard of hearing.
