Family Time=Best Time :)

One day, my family and I went on a walk in a park. It was really special because we were walking for water. It's this movement where you walk five miles on May 5, to honor the girls who live in impoverished areas. These girls walk every day to bring water for their families. They do this their entire lives, giving up their education to take care of their families. While we were walking we came across this family of Canadian geese, and it added to the moment. It was really wholesome :)

  • Reach for the Stars!

Author's Note: This story isn't exactly mine to tell. One day, I came home from school, crying because I got a huge blister (this happened in elementary school) and the blister spread across my entire palm.

  • Take Me Away

Author Bio: I wrote "Take Me Away," when I felt swamped with a growing list of things to do. It made me miss the days, in the pandemic when I’d run around the backyard, screaming “I’m bored!”

  • I'm Here!

Author's Note: This poem was actually inspired by Emily Dickinson's poem, "I'm Nobody! Who Are You?" I was experimenting with rhyming schemes, and then I read Emily Dickinson's poem.
