Analogy of a Second

I pepper myself with questions

Questions that bubble up and spill over

Out into the wide world

And I stop to admire time

I pause in my tracks

Tracks that have gone a long way

And within this pause

I find home within the world

The world is is like a snow globe

And I shake it

I let time carry me on

I’m still zoomed in

Zoomed into time

Each second passing like an hour

So I can explore

What in this world have I not seen

That I must see

What mistakes have I made

That I can correct now

None?

Okay

Then I can enjoy the moment

The moment that lasts forever

I can surf the wave

Just carry on forever

Just keep running

And I pepper myself with questions

Questions

Questions

Questions

I let myself flow

Blow in the wind

Find the answers

And I find myself in the next moment

I’ve made it through the second

Ill make it through forever

Without the answers to some of my questions

But with recognition of the moment

And how I can always slow down

To find my place

Cold, bitten, waiting at the door

Rain like the universe’s tears streaming down his cheeks

He knows rejection—it's known him from the start

You see, forgiveness is his revenge on himself

    Mountains like monuments waiting

    And so he sat there

Engulfed in the presence of time

And realized that his path was carved out for him

    Awaiting footsteps

    Begging for mistakes

If only he were to begin his journey
