As I rolled like cinnamon onto the ruff turf,
My shoe hit my other shoe like cars on a freeway,
Causing myself to be in an accident.
Even though I knew people were crying,
I could only hear nothingness.
I told myself I was fine,
And ignored my pain,
I knew I let down Coach Vazquez,
As he was cheering for me,
Or,
Betting on the future of the program that I would win.
My mind went unconscious,
And I acted off of my heart.
The memory turned translucent as I rolled up like I learned how to do in my dance class,
Not yet accepting my defeat.
