authors note for the things you will become

Author’s note

Almost one year ago I started handwriting this story, and I had no idea it would be this incredible journey for me. I have learned so much along the way. I cannot believe this story is twenty thousand words long, but that does not matter, the story is what matters. The ideas, the experiences, and putting it on the page are the most satisfying parts of writing. I encourage you to bring your imagination to life. It is a great way to both inspire people and get a workout for your brain. I was in Hawaii when I started writing this. I was mesmerized by the incredible sunrises and sunsets the islands had to offer. I took an idea I had been thinking about for a while, and boom, I started it. I would like to shout out a few people who helped me edit this story. Charlie Evans, a fellow writer, gave me great suggestions. He is currently writing a story called Seldom, and I am wanting to read it SO bad. Thank you for helping edit the story Charlie! A HUGE thanks to my writing teacher, who has helped my ideas come to life. Her name is Amy Grover, and she teaches an awesome online creative writing class that is lots of fun. Contact me if you are interested in joining. Some books that inspired me were, A Wish In The Dark By Christina Soontornvat, The Maze Runner by James Dashner, and The Golden Compass by Phillup Pullman. I have already started a new book called the Portal Creator, so look out for that book too!
