In octobers soft and cool air
Leaves fall down without a care
Orange and red cover the ground
Yet the summer is not to be found
A cold breeze begins to blow
As clouds drift by very slow
The sun is still here to be
Yet the heat is starting to leave
Kids laugh and search looking happy
Finding the best pumpkin for them to see
Bright orange pumpkins big and small
Bringing fun for them all
When the sun sets and stars appear
October shows us that joy is here
With the seeds to plant and food to share
The smell of fall fills the air

Your rhyme scheme is superb! And you've really captured the spirit of the season -- October's state of transition, and the joys that accompany that change.
