Beginning

The sun is pink, and the sky is green on the day that I am standing knee deep in perfectly still salt water. The tired marble floor of heaven is finally dissolving beneath my feet.

I have just killed God's dragon, and its body lies innocently half sunken behind me. The growing sea swallows it up in no time, and in doing so, it becomes just another sky: green and pink, and green and pink, and then suddenly blue, and then gradually black with white speckles, and then penultimately white with black speckles, and then ultimately, just white.

I am truly alone in the universe
