Bottles on the brain

Stranded on a desert isle
Raft made of prescription bottles
Watch the orange baubles float
Watch the fish learn how to smile
Falling out of aeroplanes
Parachute made of instructions
Seagulls catching the sweet smell of Zoloft
Falling asleep as it soothes their brains
Left behind at a train station
Little trolley made of boxes
Carrying drowsy-looking doormice
To their final destination
Now I'm living in a hive
Hectacombs of serotonin
Let them fill my heart with honey
Not awake but now alive

It was just a fluke that I happened to see

The ghost of a girl in 1893

I didn't think much of her, tried to ignore

But then she came 'round in 1894

A spirit was not something that I had wanted

Did you know that, when you wrote me, I was made of papercuts

That I was ink and glue and wax but mostly, I was papercuts

Did you know that, when you read me, I am made of memories
