The boys with stars on their faces

Someday time will stop

Abruptly at that,

And he’ll come for me

The boy with stars on his face

He lives in my mind, and I find him alive in my dreams

My dreams where his makeup is off, his skin is tan, and stars are scattered every which way, dotted along his face

Boys like that mustn’t be real and if I see one, he must be a hologram,

Because I am an atheist

And boys like that are heaven sent
