Crow queen part 6: fang

the crows sink their beaks into my skin so that they are fed once again

I'm glad I have some purpose to them

if not a comrade, food.

I keep them alive

and it was time to remind them of that once again today

"Hey, silly crows, look at this," I light my finger tips on fire, the purple flames glimmering

"STOP! NO MAGIC!" They screech, backing away in fear

"Why are you afraid, it's just a little fire!" I laughed, reaching out with hands aflame

The crows began to cry, swatting at my hands and my wrist, leaving more cuts and bruises. I retracted my hand in anguish and left them to feed on my flesh.
