Love is a river, its current flowing fast,
Its depths unknown, yet teeming with life that lasts.
Beneath the surface, secrets lie in wait,
Promising treasures, for those who dare to navigate.
A force of nature, that can heal or destroy,
A mighty river that brings both sorrow and joy.
Hate is a wildfire, burning with rage,
Its flames consuming, leaving only ash in its way
The heat is suffocating and its smoke is a veil,
A storm that blinds all who try to prevail
It feeds on anger, and thrives on pain,
Its tendrils spread like a poisonous stain.
Love and hate, the yin and yang of life,
Two sides of the same coin, in its own endless strife.
So similar, yet so different in view,
For where there is love, hate can ensue.
But where there is hate, love still awaits,
Patiently burning like eternal flames.
