Dance of the Snowflakes

Dance of the Snowflakes

Nathalie Hooker

Dance of the Snowflakes

In that tiny neighborhood you’ll see

A single flake

Floating down, to meet her partner

Thousands gather as the music swells

They dance while you sleep

Graceful and proud

Glittering as the moon shines a spotlight on the dance below

The clouds cheer as the trees hum

The night is to be remembered

As the crowd grows bigger

The dance ends

The wind is silent

The party is over

But,

When you are sleeping

You know they are dancing

The clouds cheering,

The trees humming,

The moon shining down upon the joy

The snowflakes graceful and proud

The one floating down to her partner

The dance continues till the sun emerges and you come out to play

You know the snowflakes are dancing, because the time of new beginnings is near
