The Danger Zone

space 
darkness all around me 
the only light is that seeping through the cracks of my spaceship 
its cold, its quiet
to quiet 
I have questions 
So many questions 
How big are the stars?
What does Saturn's ring feel like?
What would happen if I went just a little bit farther?

Space is weird
There's no such thing as upside down nor sideways in space 
You're just simply…. There
Alive
Breathing 
Earth is so much different than space
There's no birds singing in the breeze, no children laughing, horns honking
There's no chatter amongst those around me 
It's just me
Me and silence

I feel as though I cant breath 
There's no air 
There's a man made bubble around my head 
Giving me limited time in space 
What if there are cracks?
I've always wondered what it would be like to breathe in space
What would happen 
How would it feel

Space is such an odd topic
People talk 
People argue
But how can we know when only 574 
Have been outside the perimeter 

Earth is big bubble 
Its air caged inside this clear barrier 
Only the bravest have exited the premises 
Once you leave our safe spot 
It’s game over 
You are a ticking time bomb of limited air 
Your life is timed once you leave 
Space is a death zone 
Why explore something that will kill you instantly
