Dear Canada,
You do not belong to us.
You never have.
And I really, really hope you never will.
You are your own country, but I know I don’t have to tell you that.
You already know it.
On behalf of many, many Americans, (ugh, do I really even want to be an American?)
We’re sorry this has happened.
This makes up for nothing that has been said, done, and proposed,
But we wish this had never happened.

As a Canadian from Quebec....Thank you Abigail. We know that a lot of Americans are not in agreement with your country's leaders and we appreciate the support. Don't feel sorry, it's not your fault. The only people we blame are the US leaders who are spearheading this movement of hatred and division. Keep up the great work :)
