The doorway would replace where my closet is. Instead of seeing my messy closet with random clothes thrown about, it would open to something else. My doorway would take me to the woods. The part of the woods that is a clearing, except for one big tree apple that gives the perfect amount of shade. The part of the woods where the sun comes in and it’s always warm in the winter, but has a nice calm breeze in the hot summer. It’s always calm in this part of the woods. There are no sounds other than the soft noise of the birds chirping, and the wind rustling through the leaves. There is a stream close to the clearing that deer and other woodland creatures come and drink out of. This part of the woods is calming, where you can sit under the big tree and read books while drinking warm tea, or sketch the deer as they drink the water. In the fall, many big, red, juicy apples grow and can be picked. The door itself would be tall and a deep red color, specifically a mahogany auburn. The door would have a golden colored handle, and a matching door knocker. The door knocker would be shaped like a fox. There are gold flakes on the door that are shaped like different leaves that look like they’re falling down on the door. This spot in the woods is where I would be able to call my own, my own place to be and be calm.
