Unexpected

Dress for sun, for warmth, for joy

Suddenly

Rain, clouds, cold, hurt

Descend

Turn around and go away

Anywhere away from the rain

Hide away

Things still need to be done

The rain keeps pouring

No umbrellas

Venture out into the wet

Too much, recede

Hope for sun later

Again

Joy, warmth, sun

Pray that it stays

But no

The rain comes

Thunder

This time try to push through

To get to the destination

But every step

Brings sanctuary farther away

Can't turn back now

Miserable and wet

Refuses to relent

It enjoys causing suffering

Preventing joy

But nothing can grow without rain.
