Enough

We'll march with cardboard signs

rainbow letters pretend

that we're happier than we are 

because we understand

the depth of this hole we've dug ourselves

into

the fire we've fed

up our home.

But will our sign

be enough

to carry

hope and fear stitched together impossibly

probably

not.

We can turn off lights

and build solar panels

and tear down buildings and build up

gardens and still

it's probably

not enough.

We can check the labels on our food

and take the labels off people

get them to work

together to solve

this problem it's probably

not enough but

maybe

we only have one choice it has to be

enough.
