Fame

Ellie was in a position she had only dreamed of. She was on stage at the most famous dance theater in the world. This was not how she'd imagined she would feel though. Ellie thought she would be proud, exited, and a little nervous. Instead she was upset and hangry. She did her best to smile. Ellie hated being famous. The lights where always in her eyes, the fans always in her biz, and reporters knocking on her door 24/7. She wished it would all disapear, into a door way, where it would never be able to get back and contiue ruining her life.

  • Smile

    it stretches my face apart

    not unlike the plates

we learn about in science class.

    pulling at my jaw,

    cheeks,

    lips,

    until finally

    my whole demeanor

  • Moving on

"We ignite not in the light, but in lack thereof,

For it is in loss that we truly learn to love."*

    When we can feel,

All that is no longer there,

  • Halls

    the doors

    are left open

    for him

    to walk through

    and brightly lit

    with all

    he will ever need

    when beside him

    there is a girl

    stumbling through

    a dark hall

    unable to find her way
