the night, smooth as silk, wraps me in a warm embrace
the heat of the moment takes me by surprise,
not giving me time to think anything through.
the faint glow of the city reflects across the still harbor.
my decision is made.
I tighten my grip on the steering wheel,
focus,
and in a flash,
I’ll be gone.
this night
the light is a milky, silvery blue
cascading down from the sky
in rays that look like liquid silk
dripping off tree branches
and coating the world in a cool, heavenly glow
love cannot be created or destroyed.
like energy
it shape shifts
following those filled with passion
and hope
but appearing to leave
at the slightest touch of pain
She wakes in the early morning
And stares at the wall across from her
A sense of fear overtakes her
Beginning in the pit of her stomach
And spreading to each limb
Coating her in feeling
