Fear. Fear is relentless.
It never stops taking.
It depletes your joy, and takes away from your life.
It’s a constant strife.
Fear.
Your smile turns to a frown, and you fall onto the ground, and feel like you cannot get up.
You feel as though you are burning, a never-ending fire that turns you to ashes.
You feel as though you are falling into a bottomless pit of darkness and worry, from which you cannot get out of, stuck in adversity’s grip.
You gasp for air, but the air does not come. You cannot breathe. You cannot live. You are stuck in a replaying horror. Your thoughts do nothing but hate and mock you. You listen to their words. It makes it worse. You believe what they say. You believe nothing of your own words, unless they are of self-doubt.
And the pain keeps going on.
The worry of your worst nightmare repeats over, and over, and over again. You think it might come true.
Fear is hard to escape, as if your shadow. The grip and control on you and your mind it has is strong, and not easy to break.
Yet, you have the power to speak the words that say, “I am not afraid.”
You are not afraid. Fear is an emotion, but a lie. Do not listen to the vipers inside your head. Do not let yourself be bitten, and welcome their venom.
Turn away.
Be a light, and fight.
Your hopes’ fire burns brighter than the fire of fear.
So stand, right now.
So command your fears to go away, force them to no longer make you afraid. Tell them, “My joy shall stay.”
You are strong. You are fierce. You are here, and you have won over your fears.
For anyone who is afraid of anything, know you're not alone. I hope this poem helps you! Enjoy! :3
