Freedom In Bubbles

I race across the sandy shore
Sand spreading beneath my toes
As the waves crash alongside me

When the tide starts to go out
I turn towards the water
Gliding into the ocean with the grace of a swan

Before going up for a breath
I spin a full circle, my arms waving
remembering the joy in this type of freedom

    the doors

    are left open

    for him

    to walk through

    and brightly lit

    with all

    he will ever need

    when beside him

    there is a girl

    stumbling through

    a dark hall

    unable to find her way
