Glory

Wherever there are dark skies above

just beyond

there lies crystal blue waters

found in wait

on top of darkness

that the sun doesn’t reach

for it is too far down 

to imagine the creatures inside 

made of despair

beginning to flee

when you swim

float

climb

walk

back into the light 

that was always there

and will forever guide you

on the sunlit path

to glory

for it was in you all along
