Summer heat engulfs
Fireflies darting through oaks
Memories died here
Summer heat engulfs
Fireflies darting through oaks
Memories died here
Another offering to the fall
We walk, side-by-side
Don’t these rides seem smaller now?
Or have we just grown in size?
What if this is the end?
Dear Time, You remind me of the Sea. Unable to be restrained. Unable to be controlled. Unable to be contained. You are merciless, yet your movement is necessary.
And the air tastes of raw linen
And I watch a million suns explode
In the distant horizon
And footsteps,
Beating and beating and beating
Like some twisted wardrum
