The house on third street—chapter six: Emily

Max stopped dead, in front of her “Felicity— this is a bad place to freeze!” He said guarding her

“City, move!” Payton said grabbing her arm

“Felicity!” Max barked “that thing is getting closer. And we need to make it home tonight!”

She snapped out of it with a gasp, and finally was dragged by Payton and Max.

The thing stumbled as it walked “running only makes it more fun!” It sang

“I want to be home” Felicity said quietly

“City, we all do. But wanting isn’t going to get us anywhere if we don’t get away from that thing!” Payton said, still running.

“How do we even know Emily is alive?!” Max yelled

“She has to be!” Replied Payton.

They ran as fast as their feet could take them, a red light grew brighter as they got nearer

“Is that a good thing?” Max asked curiously

“How should we know” Felicity said, with a shrug.

They walked closer, Payton ahead of them all.

A shaking small figure was under the light directly, as they walked closer the figure became more person-like.

“P-p-Payton?”

“Emily!” He gasped running to her

She stood “No DON’T!”

That thing from earlier— jumped from behind her.

Mouth wide open, rows of teeth barred, skin on the corners ripped.

Emily jumped forward and tackled Payton, the teeth grazed his hand, and left few cuts.

They landed at Felicity and Max’s feet.

“I am the bait” she said, “run!”

“Oh? Mrs. Carter, you promised not to tell, you were going to give them to me to save your life…”

She grimaced but was shaking nonetheless “not Payton, take anyone else. Not Payton”

“E-Emmy..?” Felicity said, backing up with Max.

Payton’s eyes widened

(Hey! This is my first attempt at a horror story. Do you like it so far? And should I continue?)
