I Fell for a Star

In the dark of the night when the winds start to call

and the leaves in the trees shake and tremble and fall

there is something that moves like a shadowing thrall

soft and low as a dream drifting over us all

But when night turns to day and the sun shines so bright

I see a trace of the heights that reigned over the night

When the moon fell in love with the sun and her light

A soft love that yet fell from this sort of a sight

Their love fell like light into hands cold and bare

That could never be filled never be crossed

for its size rivaled depths of the tumbling sea

Like moths to the flame my cold hands grew so warm

Cause my dear a bright star caught my eye that dark night

And I fell into love with a star so bright

He was shining and glowing like an angel’s warm sigh

Oh my love, I fell for a star that night

  • For Old Times' Sake

    for old times' sake

    is such a pretty sentiment

    like

    let's do it

    for the love

    that used to be here

for the memories that used to be young

let's do it for the time

  • heartbeat

The clock is broken, it stopped ticking ten years ago, stopped counting how much time had passed. It is an old grandfather clock, wood of oak, and sculpted to perfection.
