I Will Reach

If only I could reach a little farther,

I would be able to touch the moon.

If only I could reach a little farther,

my dreams would be fulfilled,

so quick,

so soon.

I want to walk on Mars,

and eat some crazy food,

but if only I could reach a little farther,

I'd be able to pursue.

I want to do so many things,

but my arms are far too short.

So I will have to reach,

I will have to stretch,

I will have to stand on my tippy toes,

just to reach the rest.

But I don't mind,

I don't care,

I don't hold my breath,

because if only I could reach a little farther,

I would be all set.
