Intuition is our instinct.
It’s our instinct tapping us on the back
and whispering what it believes will happen soon,
what it needs you to be on your guard for.
Intuition is the thoughts you have
before jumping off a rock,
saying, “Should I do this?”
because it knows the amount of hurt, Danger, and damage this action can lead to.
Intuition is the fortune teller that everyone has,
but instead of fortunes,
it tells warnings.
It’s the hesitation you have when making a decision,
the hesitation you have while looking at all your options,
before finally spilling out one in particular.
It is up to the person to decide to follow it.
It is a choice
Follow your gut, your intuition,
or stick with your head and it’s logic.
It is all up to the person.
Intuition is always worth following,
because it follows your soul,
your hopes, your dreams.
So even if it’s wrong,
at least you were honest with yourself.

Intuition as fortune teller is brilliant, I've never heard that -- but that's so true! I think you've hit the nail on the head. I don't know that I always trust my own intuition (there are times it leads me astray, especially when it comes to love or "fun" impulse decisions), but I can appreciate that you've taken a hard stance on it: that even if it's wrong, it's right, because you are being honest with your hopes and your intentions. For the most part, I think it's there to point us in the right direction -- and definitely so, without question, when it comes to the emotion of fear.
