Just Because You Can

We are going through tough times.
The toughest of times.
For some, it may seem easy.
No, this is not easy.
The spread of a virus,
will never be easy.
Easy to live through,
easy to change,
easy to forget.
These are the times when our friends,
our family,
are needed most.
And some of them we do not have.
Schools are closed,
no people to see.
But there is still something that will make life easier in our times of trouble,
a smile.
People are discouraged,
they may be lonely,
but there is still one thing that no one can take away from you,
and that is a smile.
Just a smile.
So do yourself a favor,
do us a favor,
and let yourself smile.
It will spread, 
it will grow,
with each and every other one.
So, I say once more,
smile,
just because you can.
