Late Night Parties: A Series of Haikus

liquor pouring and
expensive ink written with
the indigo sky

bob cuts, glitter, fringe
dancing, the jazz record spins
healing hearts, drunk sins

lead the dance, stranger
and we will twist and turn through
the dazzled dance crowd

girls pull off their heels,
guys share a cigar, talking
‘bout business affairs

flashy cars, black wheels
shoe polish shines with the moon.
parties die away

(let me know if these aren't haikus, sometimes I lose track of syllables!)
