Lo! The horizon's sweet light that shines on the leaves of the trees.
The rustling of the branches softly blowing in the gentle breeze.
The yonder rushing of the rivers across the pains and hills.
The sweet, savory sight of dawn’s last fading light, and the promise of tomorrow and the brisk winter chills.
Lo and behold the rays of the sun I do see. Fading, dwindling, so gently.
I see, I see a ring of wonder that dances ‘round the sun and looks like a rainbow.
I hear a bird, singing the verses of the sky’s song as the day ends.
“Thine sweet, sweet song astonishes me,” I say to the bird.
“Twiddle tweet tweet dee!” It chirps back, singing.
What a beautiful, beautiful bird.
And the wind whispers to me, “All is at peace.”
And I smile.
For I know that happiness comes from a choice that only you can make. And I chose.
And I do smile, as I stand on the street of my neighborhood, watching the colors of the light on the trees change. Dimmer they do get.
And I think as I stand, myself grounded to the earth, ‘Thy beautiful earth, cause me to wonder and dream, and without thee, I would be a different girl.’
And I look at the sky as I hear the sweet little bird and the frog's songs.
The world is a blessing, not because it’s always good to you, but because without it, you would not be. What is life if not other than seeing the beauty in all things?
Do not tell yourself you’re happy if you’re hurting; it’s okay to cry tears of sorrow. But - know also to let the light in, for it can change you. Admire, wonder, dream on. And always remember to try and see the good in all. Make a choice of happiness. Dream on… Dream on…
Just to let y'all know, I tried (Key word:'tried') to do a poem in old English sooo.... I hope you like it! :D
