Abandon ship,
Jump into mountains,
Skip stones on the River Styx.
Always sans joy,
Nostalgia overcomes hope
Yellow light plays colors on old desks
And chairs, maybe
We'll see each other again
Probably will forget to call you, though.
Going from next door
To next state, next country
Boulder in my gut, pulling me into
That awful jam shop in Fredericksburg.
So spicy we practically ran out of there, panting
But we did buy like five bottles; my mom killed us
I know you remember
That other time at the beach
Listening to Stacy's Mom on repeat
Driving in your dad's
Golf cart since he's rich as hell
Even though you'd never admit it.
Crepes on the balcony
Eggo waffles on the roof
Drinking terrible coffee while sitting on the fence.
Seraphs draw the drapes
Have to finish what we started,
Cut the tape as our records stay on rotate.
Maybe I'll see you again
And we'll jump the fence, abandon ship
Skip stones on the River Styx.
